Jaclyn Jones is a passionate and dynamic guitarist that has captivated audiences across the United States with her powerful solo and chamber performances. Her playing has been featured at Guitar Salon International and Guitar Foundation of America’s GFAtv among other media appearances. She is co-founder of the Luca Duo with award winning mezzo soprano Meng-Chieh Hsieh as well as the Connecticut Guitar Guild where she serves as Artistic Director.
Ms. Jones has performed solo concerts for renowned guitar organizations and festivals such as the XIX Boston GuitarFest, Philadelphia Guitar Society, Boston Classical Guitar Society, New Jersey Guitar & Mandolin Society, and Connecticut Guitar Society. She was selected for special events like Leo Brouwer’s 80th Birthday Celebration concert and headlined at Odeon’s “Women in Guitar” Series in New York City. Jaclyn is dedicated to showcasing new compositions and has premiered music by Sergio Assad, Apostolos Paraskevas, Damien McCluskey, and Michael Stubblefield, some which were written for her.
Ms. Jones earned her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Hartt School of Music and has performed in numerous masterclasses for iconic musicians such as Oscar Ghiglia, Scott Tennant, Leo Brouwer, Antigoni Goni, Odair Assad, and the Brasil Duo.

Teaching
Jaclyn is a devoted educator with over fifteen years of experience working with young beginners to aspiring professionals. She has taught masterclasses and workshops at numerous guitar festivals and lectured at colleges such as Eastern Connecticut State University and University of St. Joseph, and has adjudicated competitions such as Boston GuitarFest’s prestigious Academy Performance Competition. Jaclyn’s teaching was also featured in six episodes of Guitar Foundation of America’s GFAtv Season 1.
Jaclyn currently teaches in her private studio in Simsbury, CT as well as the Hartt School Community Division. She founded the Grace Academy Guitar Department in Hartford, CT, and taught at the Ethel Walker School, Community School of the Arts, the Music School at Sound Crossing, the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, and Martocchio Music.

Ms. Jones enjoys volunteering in the community and has played concerts for patients at the Jefferson House of Hartford Hospital and the Hospital for Special Care. Jaclyn was founder and Music Director of the Simsbury Historical Society concert series and was a Board Member of the Connecticut Guitar Society. Ms. Jones plays a 2018 Smallman/O’Leary hybrid model by Chapman & Fisher Guitars.
